@cincy.brows

The ombre technique gives the brows a soft natural powder look. A single nano needle is swept lightly back and forth over the skin to build layers of pigment into the brows. Also known as Ombre powder brows, stardust brows, or machine shading. This allows us to customize each client's brows depending on their personal preferences, ranging from very natural to intense & bold, creating a beautiful ombre effect: darker in the tail of the brow to lighter in the bulb of the brow, simulating the pattern of natural and fuller eyebrows.

Ombre is a great deal more suitable & successful for most skin types, whereas microblading requires more selectiveness.  Ombre puts less trauma on the skin, gives more even color distribution, is longer lasting on more skin types, and can be paired with a few microbladed hair strokes in the bulb of the brow for added accent and detail if desired.

If you have no brow hair at all, a combination brow or an ombre brow is going to yield the most realistic results. It can last anywhere from 6 -18 months depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare. The touch up appointment is just as significant as your first appointment in achieving crisp and beautifully shaped brows. This technique is a very shallow tattoo in the skin, and your skin's first instinct is to heal away the ink. The severity of this happening is based on your skins physiology and your adherence to aftercare on your brows.  It is NORMAL for your brows to appear slightly patchy or uneven in the 6 week span before your second session. It is imperative that you trust your artist and the process.

Your tattoo should heal within two weeks, dependent on the individual person. With this in mind, you should understand that YOUR skin may heal quicker or slower. Some tattoos require a lot more work to be done in the skin. The more damage your skin receives, the longer it may need to heal. People with higher blood pressure will tend to bleed more, increasing the chance of “bleeding: out some of the ink.

You are NOT a good candidate for microblading if any of the following apply:

  • Pregnant or nursing

  • Skin irritations on the brow area like sunburn, psoriasis, severe acne

  • Chemotherapy patients ( will need a note from your physician )

  • Major heart problems / taking blood thinners

  • Organ transplant

  • Botox in the last two weeks

  • Previous permanent brow tattoo

  • Infections / disorders / diseases that could impact healing

  • Accutane within the last year.

  • Ombré Brows with Stephanie - $650

    • This price includes a 6-8 week touch up.

    • Annual Touch ups - $325

The session is approximately 2 hours. The 2 hours includes a full consultation, brow mapping & shaping, designing your custom brow shape, color selection, numbing the skin, and the procedure itself.

Preparation is key for the best results. Follow the steps below for the best results, including before all touch ups.

  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Aspirin, or Ibuprofen for 24 hours before the procedure.

  • Do not work out the day of your appointment.

  • Because Botox can alter the position of your brows, it should be performed at minimum 2 weeks before your appointment.

  • Discontinue Vitamin A/Retinol products at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.

  • Discontinue Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior to your treatment.

  • Thoroughly read all the forms given to you at the time of your appointment and ask any questions you may have.

  • Be sure to advise of any allergies, medical conditions, prior permanent eye brow makeup and prescriptions you take prior to your appointment.

After care following your procedure consists of cleaning your eyebrows with the aftercare pads provided to you every hour for 4 hours. After your fourth and last cleaning, you will begin your 10 day dry healing process. This means nothing on the eyebrow area for 10 days. No water, creams, makeup, mascara, soap, etc of any kind should be used on the eyebrows. This includes heavy sweating as well so refrain from intense physical activity during your healing time. On day 11 you may resume your regular routine. You can wet your eyes, however if all your scabs have not fallen off yet, DO NOT scrub or pick at the scabs. Let them fall off naturally. This is vital to for the retention of the pigment and skin healing. Do NOT pick at the scabs, scratch your brows, peel your scabs off, or scrub the area. This can result in scarring and will affect your overall retention of the pigment. After 10 days you may resume your normal life and beauty routines.

Please be aware that the healed result of the procedure is dependent on the following: medication and health conditions, skin conditions (ie oily and pored skin, sensitive dry and flaky skin, sun damaged skin, loose skin, natural skin undertones), alcohol intake and smoking, general stress, immune system, poor diet, and how well you follow the aftercare instructions.

Your tattoo should heal within two weeks, depending on the person. With this in mind, you should understand that YOUR skin may heal quicker or slower. Some tattoos require a lot more work to be done in the skin. The more damage your skin receives, the longer it may need to heal.  Be open to the possibility of your skin needing a 3rd touch up dependent on these factors.
