What is permanent
jewelry?

14k Gold vs Gold Filled

Gold filled jewelry is made of a solid layer of gold that is bonded to a base of another metal like copper or silver. We use gold filled jewelry because it is more durable than solid gold, and also has a better price point. It stays looking new and shiny, even with decades of wear.

We will always have gold filled chains in stock for you, but if you think a 14k gold chain would be a better fit for you, you can preorder with us ahead of your appointment.

How does an appointment work?

One appointment time slot is for 30 minutes and can accomodate 1-2 people. We require a $50 deposit to hold your appointment spot. This amount will go towards the total of your permanent jewelry cost.

If you have an event with 5 or more people, we will reserve a bigger time slot for your party. Please email or text us to reserve.

We always have gold filled chains on hand as well as charms to personalize your chain.

14k gold chains will require a pre order ahead of your appointment.

Permanent Jewelry is an appointment only service.

We do not accept walk ins.

Will it tarnish

Will it tarnish?

Trendy jewelry at clothing stores are gold plated and will tarnish quickly. Gold plated means there is a VERY thin layer of gold over a copper or brass base, both of which tarnish easily or turn your skin green.

All metals for the Permanent Jewelry we offer are gold filled or 14k gold, sterling silver or white gold - meaning they will not tarnish.

Sterling silver can temporarily tarnish under certain conditions. A silver cleaning wipe should take the tarnish right off. Toothpaste or baking soda applied with a toothbrush can also work.

How do I remove it?

How to remove

You can simply cut the chain at the jump ring with small scissors or wire cutters and save it to be welded back at a later date. If you are more comfortable coming in, we can always remove it for you.

How long will it last and how do I take care of my jewelry?

Jewelry care

You can expect about 5 years with proper care. Dawn dish soap and a soft toothbrush will do the trick for most metals!

What if my jewelry breaks?

broken jewelry

Breaks are handled in a case by case basis. Breaks that happen at the point of the weld, we will repair and relink at no extra cost.

Breaks that happen on the chain itself will be charged a repair or replace fee.

Your new jewelry is durable, but it not indestructible.
